Event: Citizen information event on the industrial research platform WAVE-H2 in Freudenstadt
October 20, 2023
On October 19, 2023, the University of Stuttgart hosted a citizen information event on the innovative industrial research platform WAVE-H2 at the Campus Schwarzwald. The aim was to comprehensively inform citizens about the developments and objectives of the adaptable, interconnected H2 industrial research platform and to foster an open dialogue.
The event began with a presentation by the city of Freudenstadt, followed by a keynote speech on hydrogen by Prof. Dr. Sauer from the Institute of Energy Efficiency in Production (EEP). Subsequently, citizens had the opportunity to direct their questions directly to the experts.
In addition to citizens, representatives from the city of Freudenstadt, the planning architecture firm, the general contractor, council members, and a representative from the Campus Schwarzwald participated. They all answered questions and discussed the significance of the research platform for the region.
The WAVE-H2 project team placed great emphasis on addressing concerns, creating transparency, and dispelling any misunderstandings. The discussions showed that the project not only aims for scientific excellence but also to create tangible benefits for the region, particularly through cooperation with the Campus Schwarzwald.
The University of Stuttgart thanks all participants for their engagement and valuable contributions. The event marks an important step towards the successful integration of H2 technology into the local economy for a sustainable future.
