News: Building permit granted for the innovation modules at the Stuttgart Site
October 13, 2023
We have the building permit! A milestone in the BMBF-funded WAVE-H2 infrastructure project!
As part of the WAVE-H2 research project, a groundbreaking, adaptable, energy-flexible, and interconnected hydrogen research platform is set to be established. It will consist of modular units and will be constructed on the Campus Vaihingen of the University of Stuttgart.
The innovation modules are designed for a period of ten years. Their main purpose is to explore and further develop groundbreaking developments in the energy sector. Successful innovations can be adopted on an industrial scale.
The innovation platform comprises three laboratories, two test centers, and an office module with associated sanitary facilities. The laboratories and test centers will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and will occupy an area of approximately 200 m².
The building permit for this groundbreaking research project was recently granted, and the project team of the ipv EES (Institute for Photovoltaics, Department of Electrical Energy Storage Systems) and EEP (Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production) will implement this visionary endeavor. We look forward to hearing from companies interested in realizing the project.
